WAOL Instructions

You have enrolled in a Washington Online (WAOL) learning course this upcoming quarter.  This document gives you the basic information you will need to get started with your course and contact information if you need help.  This information refers only to your WAOL courses (designated by the Section W1).

In addition to tuition, there is an $8.00 per credit fee for WAOL courses.

The first thing that you may notice is that the start and stop dates do not directly coincide with on-campus dates. WAOL courses are built on a 10-week quarter (8 weeks for Summer Quarter) and are aligned accordingly.  The classroom opens a week before instruction begins. Before class begins you will want to order your textbooks and any other required items.  Your instructor, however, may not be available until the date that instruction begins.

Very Important

Decide early if this online system will work for you.
If you decide you cannot continue with the course for any reason, or if you are unable to start it
at all, it is very important that you contact LWTC Registration directly and officially withdraw by
January 8, 2009 in order to receive a refund.

Please Note: This is not self-paced instruction! You must log in and attend your online class from the first day, participate as required, and turn in assignments on schedule. If you are having difficulties, you should contact your instructor as soon as possible.  Please refer to the LWTC Student Handbook for additional policies and procedures regarding academic conduct.
